Olive

Life in Pune has been pretty quiet, which has been a bit of a struggle. I was in Mumbai last week though, I'm starting to really like Mumbai. I hope to go for two weekends in November. On Thursday night I was taken out to a restaurant called Olive. It's an Italian restaurant and the food was fantastic! As the Indian palate is used to spicy foods, they seem to add lots of kick to their Western dishes, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. In this case, my duck pappardelle (long fat noodles, like fettucini on steroids) had this little back kick that helped bring out the flavours of the duck and fresh pasta. Yum!
The atmosphere was great - it was outdoors, with covering, and lots of candles and white couches to lounge on in the heat. Lovely!
